Maverick Carbine Sling (MCS 2.0)

The market is already saturated with slings, to the point where it may seem hard to justify creating another one. Nevertheless, we struggled to find a solution that met our expectations, so we developed our own approach to this common piece of equipment.

Maverick Carbine Sling (MCS 2.0) is a two-point sling for rifles and carbines, developed through years of DTF instructors' experience with various types of long-gun slings. It represents the evolution of the original DTF MCS.

The overall length of the sling can be conveniently adjusted using a loop positioned within easy reach of the support hand. This makes it easy to adjust the sling length to suit the situation and the user's needs. The adjustment system uses no metal mechanical webbing locks, resulting in low weight and reliable operation.

The Maverick Carbine Sling features a padded section that increases carrying comfort when wearing the rifle for extended periods. Because, well, why shouldn't it be comfortable? Paradoxically, we spent a lot of time selecting the right foam filling—one that would retain its properties over a long period while providing the right balance between stiffness and softness. Something like a teddy bear to hug, but one raised in a rough neighborhood.

• Thoughtful Design: The combination of materials gives the MCS 2.0 the right amount of stiffness while reducing tangling.

• Simple Construction: The minimal number of buckles reduces snagging and pulling when carrying additional equipment or wearing loose clothing.

• Easy Adjustment: The adjustment loop is easily accessible and provides smooth sling-length adjustment. The adjustment system uses no metal buckles and is resistant to dirt and debris.

• Modularity: The open-end design allows the shooter to choose their preferred mounting hardware.

• One-Point Configuration: The MCS 2.0 can be converted into a one-point sling by using a Clash Hook-type carabiner on the front end of the sling.

• Durable: Made from premium-quality materials and hardware, including ITW Nexus buckles and MIL-SPEC A-A-55301 webbing.

The MCS features open ends, meaning that the sling requires the user to select their preferred attachment hardware for mounting it to the rifle (sold separately).

Our most common configurations are:

• REAR: QD – allowing the sling to be switched between the stock and the rear mounting plate, provided the rifle has compatible attachment points.

• FRONT: QD or Clash Hook carabiner

The quietest configuration can be achieved by using paracord.
