Riflespeed Adjustment Stem

Additional adjustment stem (plunger) for the Riflespeed gas block. Different stem lengths allow for more precise tuning of the gas block to suit your rifle configuration.

The Riflespeed gas block is supplied as standard with the #917 stem installed, which works correctly with 90% of AR-15 rifle configurations available on the market. However, if you want to fine-tune the gas block to better match the ammunition, muzzle device, or specific rifle configuration being used, the stem can be replaced with a shorter or longer one.

In practice, a shorter stem means more gas is directed to the bolt carrier, while a longer stem means less gas. Each stem size changes the adjustment range by 2 levels, either up or down.

Example: A given rifle operates smoothly and reliably with the #917 stem at setting 12, without a suppressor. In case of heavy fouling, a drop in temperature, or a change in ammunition, it may be beneficial to have the ability to open the gas block by at least 2 additional positions. In this case, the stem should be changed to the #907 (setting 12 becomes position 10) or #897 (setting 12 becomes position 8).

The stem number corresponds to its length in inches (0.917"), so if you are unsure which stem is currently installed, you can measure it with calipers.
