Holosun EPS Red Dot Sight 6 MOA – EPS-RD-6
Product code: 38290
The Holosun EPS is one of our favorite pistol-mounted red dot sights – it features a compact, enclosed design that protects the emitter while offering excellent visibility. This makes it a highly versatile red dot sight suitable for competitive shooting, tactical applications, and everyday carry. In short – a very good red dot sight for practical shooting.
The enclosed emitter housing makes it easy to quickly wipe the lens clean if it gets covered with mud, rain, or blood.
Footprint – Mounting
The sight uses the Holosun K-series footprint, which is a modified version of the RMS mounting pattern. When mounted on a 5th-generation Glock MOS using a dedicated 2BME mounting plate, it provides co-witness with our Analog Sights iron sights.
RD-6 Version
The RD-6 version differs from the MRS version in that it does not feature a multiple reticle system. Instead, it uses a 6 MOA dot. While the dot may seem relatively large, this makes it extremely clear and easy to see. It is a reticle that performs exceptionally well in most practical shooting applications and can also be beneficial for people with astigmatism – based on our experience, the vast majority of users with this vision condition see the reticle significantly more clearly with this model.
In addition, the RD-6 model does not have a solar panel, meaning it does not provide solar power and does not feature automatic brightness adjustment. Since there is no combination reticle, the battery will last for a long time; in our case, this means replacing the battery preventively once a year.
As for automatic brightness adjustment, we have never been particularly fond of this feature and keep it disabled on almost all of our red dot sights.

Power Supply
The red dot sight is powered by a CR1620 battery, which theoretically provides approximately 50,000 hours of operation at a medium brightness setting. In practice, thanks to the Shake Awake system (which puts the sight into sleep mode when it remains motionless), this means replacing the battery once every 1–2 years, depending on how intensively we train. Due to the lower popularity of 1620 batteries, we recommend keeping a spare set in your range bag.
The brightness level can be locked at the preferred setting to prevent it from being accidentally changed while carrying the firearm on a daily basis. The sight offers 8 daylight brightness settings and 4 settings compatible with night vision devices.
EPS vs. EPS CARRY
Both sights share the same footprint – Holosun K (modified RMS).
Different housing dimensions – the EPS Carry does not extend beyond the profile of compact pistols.
Lens size – Carry: 15 × 20 mm; Standard: 16 × 23 mm.
The EPS Carry features an integrated, low-profile rear sight notch in the housing.
The standard EPS is supplied with an adapter plate for the RMR footprint, while the EPS Carry is supplied with an adapter plate for the RMSc footprint.
