Holosun 507 Comp RD Red Dot Sight, RMR Mounting Footprint
Product code: 39862
If you remember the Unimor Neptun televisions, you may notice some similarities with the Holosun 507 Comp, because it is essentially a CRT television mounted on a pistol.
Unlike the Neptun, the Holosun 507 Comp offers much better image quality thanks to its high light transmission, while also being significantly lighter (75 g). The large sight window provides excellent target visibility and makes it easy to acquire and track the target. The large lens also makes it easier to remove debris from inside the sight and clean the glass from the inside. Thanks to these features, the 507 Comp is one of the most enjoyable pistol-mounted red dot sights to shoot with.
However, it is worth keeping in mind that the large sight window comes with a greater risk of mechanical damage and makes a pistol equipped with this sight more difficult to conceal. This is why the manufacturer positions it primarily as a competition-oriented sight (Competition). When using Safariland holsters designed to accommodate red dot sights (e.g. 6354DO and RDS), slight holster modification may be necessary depending on the pistol model.
Competition Reticle System (CRS)
With the 507 Comp, Holosun took things a step further. Instead of the MRS (Multi Reticle System), which offers 2–3 reticle options, the 507 Comp features the CRS (Competition Reticle System), offering 8 reticle configurations:
2 MOA dot
2 MOA dot + 8 MOA circle
2 MOA dot + 20 MOA circle
2 MOA dot + 32 MOA circle
2 MOA dot + 8 MOA circle + 20 MOA circle
2 MOA dot + 8 MOA circle + 32 MOA circle
20 MOA circle
32 MOA circle
Quite the disco. After cycling through all the modes, the 2 MOA dot remains our favorite due to its simplicity and ease of use. However, many shooters find the combination reticles faster for close-range shooting. Give them a chance if you like. This is one of the few micro red dot sights with a window large enough to make practical use of a complex reticle possible.
The reticle has 10 brightness levels: 8 for daylight and 2 for night vision.
The popular RMR footprint means you should have no trouble finding a suitable mounting plate or another mounting solution for your pistol.

The sight is powered by a CR1632 battery. According to the manufacturer, battery life is approximately 50,000 hours, but the actual runtime depends largely on the reticle configuration you use – the more complex the reticle, the shorter the battery life. Combined with the Shake Awake system, which puts the sight into sleep mode when it remains motionless, the battery should typically need to be replaced once every 1–2 years.

10 reticle brightness settings: 8 for daylight and 2 for night vision
Powered by a single CR1632 battery
Automatic activation from standby mode when movement is detected
