Acheron HexaLug Muzzle Device – Flash Hider 5.56 mm – 1/2x28 UNEF

Flash hider with a HexaLug interface for Acheron suppressors.

Asymmetrical weight-reducing cuts eliminate the “tuning fork” effect and, consequently, the characteristic whistling sound typical of open muzzle devices.

Compatible with all suppressors equipped with the HexaLug quick-attach system. Thanks to the unidirectional compatibility of HexaLug, it is possible to mount a larger-caliber suppressor—for example, a 7.62 mm suppressor on a 5.56 mm muzzle device.

We recommend using a flash hider on all rifles that will be used without a suppressor and where visible muzzle flash or excessive lateral blast is undesirable.

For rifles used primarily or exclusively with a suppressor, a muzzle brake may be a better choice. The brake ports direct high-pressure gases sideways, which helps extend suppressor service life.

• 1/2″–28 UNEF – Standard thread on almost all American 5.56 mm rifles

• M12 x 1L – Special variant for the FN P90

• M13 x 1L – Special variant for the Steyr AUG

• M14 x 1 – Fits all Czech vz.58 rifles; occasionally found on hunting rifles. Early Haenel CR223 rifles also used M14 x 1.

• M14 x 1L – Fits some rare Romanian AK variants in 5.45 × 39 mm, the popular Norinco Type 84S, and likely others

• M15 x 1 – Fits the Haenel CR223 and many other rifles. Not compatible with the HK MR223, HK33, etc.
